Description: Cloudrift is a different kind of arcade game in which Player One and Player Two try to avoid falling from the constantly shifting, procedurally generated cloud they find themselves on. Mysterious and powerful items fall from the sky, most of which have a profound effect on the cloud or the players.

The VR version of Cloudrift is single-player only, but you can still enjoy local multiplayer when playing on the desktop! Cloudrift also features some of the most colourful clouds ever witnessed by the human eye, flowing hypnotic gameplay, and absolutely no visible geese. There are many other surprises in store if you can hang around long enough to see them!

Review: Put short Cloudrift is a marble rolling game, only played on drugs. OK, so it is so much more than that. It’s a marble rolling game where the idea is to stay on top of a randomly generated cloud. Every game is different and you will never know what it next. So as you roll around on your circle cloud it will dip and rise and sooner rather than later holes will start to appear in the play area. They can appear anywhere and any size. This wave effect in VR certainly looks very trippy indeed.

Controls are also pretty simple, just roll around using the thumbstick and maybe press the jump button now and again to get out of trouble. Sure, it might sound like an easy game to play, but because of the unpredictability of it, you can never really prepare are each game, you just have to take things one step at a time, over and over again.

Cloudrift is a great game and oddly fun and challenging to play, giving your brain a good workout. And even in VR, it does look amazing, even more so than on a 2D screen. But the VR aspect is not needed to play this game. You will do just the same on a 2D flat screen as you would in VR, it doesn’t really add anything to the game other than maybe looking a bit better. Luckily it is not a game that is worse in VR, which instantly means it is one of the better ones. This is a good game, made ever so slightly better for the VR mode and that reason alone means it is worth a download.
