Description: Behind our comfortable, familiar dimensions, beyond the timeless depths of space, there is a place that mankind was not meant to know. A place hostile to all life. We do not belong there. We cannot survive there. At least, not for long…

Euclidean; a game of geometric horror; a slow descent into the dark, into madness, futility, and despair, where Things greater than you watch and wait and dream. Struggle for every second of life you have left… Even knowing you’re better off dead.

Review: Euclidean is a game I would imagine is very much like depression. The feeling of forever falling into a pit of despair with no hope of ever seeing the light again. That might sound like a dark and grim description of a game, but that is exactly what Euclidean is. You are falling into some strange dark nightmare and you just have to survive by moving your character out of the way of falling objects.

Of course, it is not as simple as that, there are scary creatures and obstacles to navigate through. Then at the end of each level, you need to find the hole through to the next set of them (which is sometimes easier said than done depending on where you are when you get near the bottom). With a scary voice throughout this is a weird trip that is an oddly fun experience. I was never really sure what was going on, but I kind of enjoyed it.

There is no mid-way with Euclidean. You will love it or hate it, get it or not understand it. It’s a little tour through madness, constantly falling into the pits of hell. The good news is there really isn’t any jump scares to deal with, but you will get a little scared now and again as you fight to stay alive. Like I say, not a game for everyone, but well worth trying. You will either love it or hate it.
