I-glasses SVGA 2D
Widely considered to be the best HMD of it’s time it has a resolution of 800 x 600 which put it right up there with the high-end models but without the extortionate price attached to it. While it’s field of view was rather low it made it up in the rest of the tech. As with most HMD’s of it’s time it was a PC-only device but it was easy to setup and get going.
Being portable, affordable and with a high resolution you can easily see why people loved this HMD so much. But in the end it is still just video glasses just under a fancy tech hood. But if you wanted to play your Panasonic 3DO this would have been the best thing ever! But for working and watching a film this sort of tech was and indeed still is a long way off.
