Description: MyDream is a sandbox game that combines grid-based building with organic and fully-deformable voxel terrain. Build, terraform, quest, and explore your way across various environments in beautiful and expansive worlds!

MyDream Interactive Inc. set out on a bold journey to build a new voxel sandbox game to encourage creativity, courage, and collaboration among players. MyDream was built in Unity using the in-house VoxelForm engine, which allowed for high performance and exceptional deformation quality when altering the world.

Review: MyDream is a 3D sandbox world-building game (hosted online) that allows you to create or play scenarios very much like Roblox, only better choice of scenery pieces. Starting from scratch you have to make a ‘world’ in your own vision, in your own style. Once happy with it, you can then share it with other MyDream VR users. Not only can you make your own world, but you can also make your own set pieces for other people to use.

Despite being a pretty complicated game at heart I found the user interface to be pretty much straightforward which is quite rare for a game of this type. With an ever-growing list of user content to explore and pretty smooth graphics, it is an ever-growing game that can only get better as time goes on. To be honest, moving around the worlds in VR is not good at all, in fact, it is incredibly nauseous. This is one VR game best played not in VR.

While this game has been plagued with server problems it is not as bad as some say it is. It might have been bad in the past, but personal I didn’t experience any problems at all. While far from being perfect it is a good game to play with your friends and to explore the ‘worlds’ other users have created. If you enjoy playing games like Lego Worlds or Minecraft this might well take your world-building visions to the next level. But for the rest of us who don’t really have that creative bone in our bodies (myself included), there are almost infinite amounts of worlds to explore (some better than others).
