Overall Packaging Presentation: While not much in the way of headset description on the box it is still very nicely presented with large images of the headset and a few key points of interest. Inside of the box, the headset is bagged but no other form of packaging protection. To be fair the headset and box are all very minimalistically packaged and should arrive to most people undamaged.

Whats in the box…

  • Headset
  • Microfiber Cloth
  • Instruction Booklet
  • Headstrap

First Impressions: I’m not really sure what to make of it to be honest. When I got it out of the box I was impressed with the design of it, but the build quality is well below par with the aluminium casing coming away from the body before I have even touched it. But like I said I do like the design of it so I would probably be willing to look past minor cosmetic problems.

Features Review: For a folding headset, this has quite a few good features. Independently adjustable pupil distance and adjustable focus distance, 3 point elasticated head strap and even wide lenses. With a good range on the pupil distance, this has most of what people need to get going straight from the box. But a Bluetooth controller will be needed due to the lack of touch button.

Final Verdict: With a good design, decent FOV and super strong aluminium casing, this a headset that should have offered a premium experience. Sadly it just doesn’t have that wow factor. With poor quality rubber face padding and the curvature being far too wide it just doesn’t give you the experience that it could do. An opportunity has been missed with this headset, but with a few tweaks, it could be great. Maybe the V2 (if there is one) would be the headset I wished this one was.
