Overall Packaging Presentation: To be honest, when it come into the office, most of us couldn’t help but feel little disappointed. Sure it is well packaged inside with some thick polystyrene inlays, but the overall box is not worthy of the hyped and heavily promoted headset. But at least everything was safe and secure. It just could have looked a little better.
Whats in the box…
- Bobo VR Z4 Headset
- Instruction Booklet
- Microfibre Cleaning Cloth
Bobo VR Z4
First Impressions: From the moment you get it out of the box, the first thing that is so surprising it’s it’s weight. Despite the addition of the built-in headphones it still seems to feel a lot lighter than most other mobile VR headsets. But it doesn’t feel weak either. With a strong design and ridged structure. Without a phone inside of it, it feels well balanced and just as good as you might expect it to be.

Features Review: While the built-in headphones are indeed a great feature this is not a one-trick-pony headset. With a massive 120° FOV and all focus and lens distance being adjustable, it would have been a good headset even without the earphones. But with them, it is something very special indeed.

Final Verdict: It has been a long time getting here, but we are unanimous here in the VR shop office that it is well worth the hype that preceded it. The headset alone is pretty good quality, but the headphones are a great added feature. Some people might see them as a negative because they are not the best quality, but at the end of the day most of us would only use cheap headphones with a mobile VR headset anyway! All-in-all this headset is worth every penny and is a definite step in the right direction for all mobile VR headset designs to come.
