Overall Packaging Presentation: Make no mistake, this comes very well packaged and looks like a really expensive and premium product. With its consumer and shop friendly box (with magnetic box shut) it looks fantastic and I could easily imagine myself picking it up from the store shelf. It doesn’t slack inside the box either. With a fantastic display of the headset and a cover hiding the rest of the box items. All the items are then held within a thick plastic holder making the whole box very strong indeed. This is as good as headset packaging gets.

Whats in the box…

  • Headset
  • Phone Holders
  • Instruction Booklet
  • USB Charge Cable for Controller
  • Bluetooth Controller

First Impressions: Picking up the headset for the first time the weight is instantly noticeable. This thing weighs a lot! And to add to that it is also back heavy (which might be OK because that will cause it to lean into the face). But the other thing I noticed is how well made it is. With it’s branded super-wide head strap, strong body and large adjustment knobs, you can tell a lot of thought has gone into making this headset. Whether or not that leads to a good experience is another matter.

Features Review: While it does have most the features you would expect the lack of a screen touch button is offset by the inclusion of a controller. Sadly both the independently adjustable pupil and focus distance don’t have the biggest of ranges, but at least it has them. With a wide 3-point head strap and soft memory foam face padding, this headset has what it needs to deliver a great VR and AR experience.

Final Verdict: Sadly the ImmersiON VRelia offers little value for money and it weighs more than a small family car strapped to your face. But yet it is also very well designed, looks like a premium headset, comes packaged to perfection and you even get a pretty decent Bluetooth controller with it! But it’s that large FOV that makes this headset worth owning. Now that is not to be confused with ‘Value for money”, I am just saying that it is worth owning. Maybe keep an eye out for a 2nd hand cheap on eBay, or even better, ask someone to get it for you as a gift for your birthday or Christmas. Just don’t buy it yourself.
