Overall Packaging Presentation: I wish they were paying me to say this, but sadly they are not. But I have to say that we have never had a damaged parcel from Gear Best. They always seem to get here undamaged and well packaged. This one was no different. With a strong white box and a simple image of the headset and its name on it. Inside of that, there is a plastic tray that holds the headset, head strap and all the extras in it. This is one of those few headsets that would make a truly great gift. Despite its pretty affordable price it doesn’t look like a cheap product, it comes very presentable for anyone getting into mobile VR.

Whats in the box…

First Impressions: Getting it out of the box for the first time I was generally surprised by just how good it looks and feels. It doesn’t look or feel half as cheaply made as many of the other headsets we have reviewed. Holding it in my hands it felt well balanced and not too heavy. Most people at this stage will be feeling pretty happy with their purchase.

Features Review: Sadly this is where all the glory of the fine packaging and good quality build fall away as this headset has no adjustable features whatsoever. In fact, it’s only real feature is the 3-point elasticated head strap! At least it has good, clear lenses and really good quality face padding to back itself up.

Final Verdict: While the lack of adjustable features might put a lot of people off buying this I think it shouldn’t. If like myself you can see clearly through a basic Google Cardboard headset you will love this headset for what it does offer. It’s not adjustable, but the view is clear, the lenses give a good FOV and it feels really comfortable to wear. Even for those people that need the adjustable features, at least you can wear glasses and for most people that will counteract the lack of them.
