Overall Packaging Presentation: Little more than the words “Virtual Reality Headset” feature on the box meaning it isn’t exactly shop ready, but the good news is the cardboard is nice and thick keeping the headset safe inside. With only a little bit of extra bubble wrap for protection, this headset isn’t exactly well protected, but it is more than enough for transit purposes. So not much in the way of presentation then, but at least its adequate.

Qualiview (Mobile VR Headset)

First Impressions: Holding the headset in my hands for the first time I have to say I was excited at first. With its unusual shape and sharp lines, this headset has a touch of class and modern design about it. Even the body which may be plastic was light making the whole headset feel lighter than you might think it would be. Sadly I then noticed the poor quality rubber face padding and I was instantly turned off by it. I can only hope it holds its head high in our other tests.

Features Review: With a nice size focus adjustment (not independently) and pupil adjustment (not independently), it has the features we have come to expect from a modern VR headset. But sadly it doesn’t have a screen touch button. There also seems to be a whole of a micro USB connection which is odd because it doesn’t seem to go anywhere. So most the usual features then, but nothing to surprise us.

Final Verdict: The Qualiview is a nice looking headset that could have had a lot going for it. Sadly the terrible viewing experience and poor quality rubber face padding lets it down immensely. But it’s not unusable, in fact, it works OK and you can at least play most Google Cardboard games with it. While I can’t suggest buying it yourself if you get it as a gift feel safe in the knowledge that it is at the very least usable. But do also consider that it could have easily been a lot better and there is indeed a lot better out there.
