VR Lion Eye (Mobile VR Headset)

“…a mobile VR headset that is king of the jungle…”

Please note: Box weight, size and contents might not represent your own product as sometimes different sellers use their own packaging and often include extra items like controllers, wipes, cloths or other promotional materials.

Box Weight: 490 g
Box Height: 14 cm
Box Width: 13 cm
Box Length: 20 cm

Overall Packaging Presentation: While not exactly shop friendly, the pure white box surrounded by the white out sleeve (with a few images of the headset and logo) is nice enough and would make a nicely presentable gift. Inside of the box, the headset is bagged, but no other protective padding. But the box is fairly sturdy and id did get here in one piece.

Whats in the box…

  • Headset
  • Microfiber Cloth
  • Instruction Booklet
  • Cleaning Wipe
  • Extra Padding Strip

First Impressions: While this headset is clearly the clone of a thousand clones, it is still a nicely presented clone. Sadly it does still have the classic front heavy problem that may other Shinecon V1 clones have it does feel better made and slightly better quality all over.

Features Review: While it doesn’t have anything special in terms of features it does have the base features that we have all come to expect. So adjustable pupil and focus distance, neither of which is independently adjustable, air flow covered face padding and a nice and wide 3 point head strap.

Final Verdict: Sadly this is not so much a mobile VR headset that is king of the jungle, it is more a common pussy cat that has been mistaken for one. But as a gift idea, you could do far worse that get this headset. It has most of the features you need and will indeed run most Google Carboard apps. But sadly it is nothing special.
