Overall Packaging Presentation: Not much to talk about here as it only arrived in thick bubble protective wrapping. But at least it got here in one piece, that is the main thing I suppose.

Whats in the box…

  • Headset
  • Microfiber Cloth
  • Bluetooth Controller

“It shows some thought has gone into making this headset.”

Please note: Box weight, size and contents might not represent your own product as sometimes different sellers use their own packaging and often include extra items like controllers, wipes, cloths or other promotional materials.

First Impressions: Getting it out of the bubble wrap I noticed that this is a big headset width length anyway, but yet not too heavy which is a good sign. It shows some thought has gone into making this headset. While its basic plastic body doesn’t give a premium look, it feels sturdy enough and overall is well made (all be it from cheap materials).

Features Review: Sadly this is not a part of our review that the Winex VR does very well in. With only independently adjustable focus distance to talk about it doesn’t bode well for the Winex VR. But maybe it can pull it back with useability.

Final Verdict: So it is worth buying the Winex VR? No. I certainly wouldn’t rush out and buy one, but if you got this as a gift and had never tried a mobile VR headset before you might find it OK. But sadly I have reviewed hundreds of them and this wouldn’t make it into my top 100. The head strap system is an epic fail, the comfort is almost none existent and the viewing experience is adequate at best! With some simple adjustments this could be a good headset, but out of the box, it’s not up to much at all.
