Description: You used to push lead with a pencil, but now you’re pushing it with a gun. A recent barrage of defective, homicidal robots has created openings in RoboReady’s perpetually underfunded and suddenly swamped Recall Department. Thrown into the fray as a Recaller, you must rely on your wits, reflexes and a vast arsenal of weaponry to eliminate the robot uprising.

Robo Recall is an action-packed VR first-person shooter with visceral Touch gameplay and an in-depth scoring system. Earn the high score by using creative combat tactics and skill shots as you teleport through city streets and rooftops in an awe-inspiring ballet of bullets. Tear apart your interactive robot foes and use them to fend off the enemy onslaught. Unlock, customize and test weapons before taking on advanced challenges that put your newfound skills to the test!

Review: If like me you have played the ‘Bullet Train‘ demo to death and back, this day couldn’t have some soon enough. Yes, Robo Recall is finally here and the hype train has been full speed since it left the launch platform. The storyline is pretty basic. Robots all over the city are becoming rogue and you need to round them up. The good news is you have unlimited guns to get the job done as well as the ability to teleport all over the place.

While there is only a main story mode, this game is all about the score system. With both friends and worldwide leaderboards the ‘ in-depth scoring system’ means anyone can make it up the to if they have a good enough aim. Most levels are played within the cityscape and boy does it look amazing. With killer robots jumping all over the place, grabbing your guns from you backpack or holster has never been so much fun. While there is a good story going on in the background, this game is essential one giant Shoot ‘Em Up.

Let’s get some bad points out of the way. There are sadly some glitches getting your weapons out of the holster sometimes which in the heat of the battle is not good at all and you might well moan at having to pay £23 ($28) if you didn’t get the game for free (which most people should have) due to the lack of content.

But despite those small negative points I would still highly recommend buying this game. If you have ever enjoyed a light gun shooter game in the arcades like any of the Time Crisis series, well this is just like stepping inside one of those arcade cabinets and becoming part of the game (only with much better graphics). Games like this make expensive full VR system worth owning. My faith in VR has been truly restored and I once again look towards seeing even bettter than this in the future.
