Description: Experience Stambol’s photorealistic visualizations for Architecture, Real Estate Marketing and Sales in Virtual Reality. Stambol immerses real estate buyers in their dream home before even a single brick is laid.

This realistic loft you’ll view is completely made in CG and has not been built in real life yet. Look up, down, left, right. Change your point of view or customize your home by looking at the little icons.

Review: So you have won the lottery and want to build / design a posh house or studio flat in some posh area of the city. But you are the type of person who likes to change their mind now and again and you are worried that when built, you might not like the design the architect has come up with. That is where Stambol VR comes to the rescue. They will create a virtual reality house that you or your architect come up with and allow you to get a better feel for what it would look like even before a real world brick has been laid.

With several different viewpoints to choose from, you get to explore a virtual luxury loft in what looks like a very busy city. You can also change the flooring if you wish. The idea is you get a ‘feel’ for the place even though it is a virtual environment. Then, if you wish to make changes you can! Quickly, easily and all done in VR.

Once again someone has come up with yet another use of VR as a powerful marketing tool. While I wasn’t overall impressed with the quality, I did get the point of it. My gripe is if the virtual loft / house / building you are looking at is ‘completely made in CG’ then why can’t I be free to walk around it at least? I’m not saying to make it look more realistic, I just think you should be given freedom to teleport around the VR loft if you want to. Not having to go to some prearranged view points.

There is no doubt in my mind that for many architects this will help to showcase a design before the more expensive building part starts, saving them time and money changing things within VR rather than during the building process. But if it is all CG give people the freedom to move freely around in it and get a deeper sense of what it will look like from the angles they want to look at it. Or maybe that is too hard and I am missing the point of what this app / business can do. Either way, that is my opinion.
