Review: Thumper is one of those games that makes a lot more sense when you are actually playing it. But I have to question if it benefits from actually being in VR! (it wasn’t made for VR originally) This is a good game anyway and at the end of the day, the gameplay is so fast that you are always looking in front of you anyway because turning away, even for a moment will cause you to die. If you have ever played Thumper normally, I wouldn’t rush out and buy the Oculus Quest version but if you haven’t this game will reward you with a few hours of seriously satisfying fun and some pretty stunning visuals, especially for the Oculus Quest. Just be aware that is it not the best version of this game (The PSVR version for me is still the best) and the lack of Gamepad support is almost unforgivable.
