Box Weight: 1129 g
Box Height: 23 cm

Overall Packaging Presentation: It’s the perfect collectors item box. With nice images of the turtles all over it as well as the headset itself being shown through the plastic window with a turtles bandana visor on it. Opening the box you realise that the display window is in fact, part of the box, meaning the headset inside of it is well protected with a thick cushion of plastic.

Whats in the box…

  • Headset
  • X4 Changable Tutles Bandana Visors
  • Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles AR Disc
  • Instruction Booklet
  • Smaller Phone Adaptor

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

First Impressions: Being a massive fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles I love it and think it looks fantastic (the packaging anyway). While it is simply the same VR View-Master as the original V1 and the Batman version that is not necessary a bad thing. It has the same heavy build which means it can take a few knocks and bumps and it is great quality. If there is one thing you can’t complain about with the VR View-Master its the build quality and presentation.

Features Review: Sadly this is where the original View-Master VR fails and being the same headset underneath it is also where the View-Master Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles edition fails. No pupil distance, no focus adjustment, only a screen touch button and tiny lenses. In my opinion, it is not good enough for kids, or to be used as a VR viewer in classes or educational purposes. The Homido Grab has shown us that good lenses can be used in a child-friendly, quick use VR viewer which now makes this headset seem much lower quality in terms of experience.

Final Verdict: The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles edition of this headset is the best version of VR View-Master released so far. It looks amazing and is sure to become a fast-selling collector’s item. Sadly in terms of use, it is not much good at all. While the build quality of this headset is premium, the user experience is poor and that is a shame. Buy it to collect it because you are a fan of all things TMNT, but don;t buy it for use while in VR, there are far better out there that give a much better quality of experience.
