Virtual Research VR1280

About: Using a technology called FLCOS, (Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal on Silicon) the VR1280 is capable of displaying high-resolution images with a much better colour reproduction than standard LCD displays. Due to the reflective nature of LCOS displays, the viewing area is a little more specific compared to other HMDs that used LCD displays, but the VR1280 is well-engineered with 2 ratchets for quick and precise adjustment.

Virtual Research VR1280

Our Thoughts: ade by Virtual Research, it is the companies very latest HMD. With a full HD display, FLCOS, (Ferroelectric Liquid Crystal on Silicon) and a nice and wide FOV it has all the tech that you might expect to find in the Oculus Rift.

Virtual Research has been making VR headsets since the makers of Oculus were still in nappies! But this is not a virtual reality headset for the masses, for personal use. It is designed for advanced VR applications and use only. While it might be only for professional use if you are looking for something like that this HMD is the best of the best because Virtual Research has been doing this for years and know exactly what they are doing because chances are they wrote the book on it!
