Xiaomovr VR (Mobile VR Headset)

Xiaomovr VR

“…a quality build and a nice soft-touch body…”

Please note: Box weight, size and contents might not represent your own product as sometimes different sellers use their own packaging and often include extra items like controllers, wipes, cloths or other promotional materials.

Box Weight: 437 g
Box Height: 15 cm
Box Width: 13 cm
Box Length: 21 cm

Overall Packaging Presentation: While nothing amazing, the box looks OK, plain white with a few images of the headset and some text. Pretty presentable as a gift, but nowhere near being shop friendly. Opening the box the headset inside it bubble wrapped with should keep it pretty safe in transit.

Whats in the box…

  • Headset
  • Microfiber Cloth
  • Instruction Booklet

First Impressions: Keeping it out of the box I was surprised by how it felt. With a soft rubber coated plastic body and all over soft rubber feel it feels pretty fantastic to hold. What also surprised me is how well made everything is. The buttons, stitching on the face padding, it both looks and feels like a pretty premium headset, which it’s price doesn’t suggest it is (fur that matter, neither does the packaging).

Features Review: Apart from not having a magnet or screen touch button, it has pretty much all you need to enjoy most mobile VR apps. With its independently adjustable pupil and focus distance, air-flow face padding and good quality 3-point adjustable head strap. OK, so it doesn’t have anything original, but it does have most the basics.

Final Verdict: This is one of those headsets that is surprisingly better than the price would suggest it is. While not much more that your average VR Box it does have a quality build and a nice soft-touch body which makes it feel nice to hold. While not perfect it certainly holds it own against most other mobile VR headsets and for the price that is high praise indeed.
