Description: Tee-time in another dimension! Galaxy Golf is a planetary mini-golf course that’s easy to pick up and play. Begin by exploring Pleasant Hills and enjoy a mellow course with a pastoral vibe. Putt your way through its whimsical worlds and faraway fairways while getting to grips with galactic golfing. Ready for a hardcore challenge? Try your swing on the terrible terrains of Frosty Brimstone. Its harrowing hellscape of glaciers and infernos play the perfect backdrop for the anguished screams of missed shots and shattered dreams. Will you make par? Will you cry into your headset? Will you get a high five? These are important questions you need answers to.

Review: Galaxy Golf is a mini golf game that is played within space set on various micro planets (think mini-golf set within Super Mario Galaxy). With two courses to play, the idea is to get the ball in the hole. Pretty simple right? Well, no. Many times you have to get your head around the 3D world where hitting a ball onto the green might well involve hitting it halfway around one of the mini planets.

There is the Pleasant Hills course that is all green fairways and water traps, then there is the Frosty Brimstone course which is probably the hardest mini golf course I have ever played. Gameplay wise, it’s an odd combination of head looking and gamepad manipulation. While you do get used to it, it does take a while.

In VR and the planets really feel like they are floating around in space and the deep 3D aspect really makes you use your head before and during each shot. I found this game to be colourful and fun, but an often frustrating version of mini golf that is quite short lived. I’m sure more courses will come in time, but for now, it won’t keep your attention for long. Then again, what did you want for a few quid?!
