Description: A Wake Inn is a PC VR horror game with elements of action, storytelling, exploration and puzzles. Explore gloomy passages on a wheelchair, with an immersive control system complying with its limitations and difficulties. You won’t be alone – mysterious Doctor Finnegan, the owner of the estate, will accompany you through your shortwave transmitter. On your way, you’ll find many other items – some useful to move forward, some that can give you a hint about this place and its former inhabitants. The hotel is occupied by other dolls similar to you, but they have no friendly intentions – they’re raging and deadly, so try to avoid them. Fight when there’s no other way around.

Review: ‘A Wake Inn’ is a puzzle/horror game at heart that sees you exploring a horror world filled with puzzles, jump-scares and the odd enemy. It does have to be said that this game looks amazing with dark and gloomy environments that are never too dark for their own good. It’s a game you can easily immerse yourself in from start to finish. Sadly there are many, many annoying things in ‘A Wake Inn’ mostly down to the unique player position sat in the wheelchair, but also any of the many bugs like buttons and switches not working like they are supposed to, but with just a small update those sorts of things are easily fixed so I think it’s worth the download now despite its flaws. Just be aware that it could do with a few updates before its something to be proud of owning.
