Description: ADR1FT is an immersive First Person Experience (FPX) that tells the story of an astronaut in peril. Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit slowly leaking oxygen, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged EEV and safely return home.

Review: The story goes that you are an astronaut who has survived a space station disaster, but with no memory of what happened and a damaged space suit you need to save your own life in a hurry in order to find out what happened. So from the off, you need to find your suit repair pod while forever looking for air canisters to breath. This is a game that will have your heart racing from the first moment to the last second.

This is a stunning game, it looks amazing, sounds perfect and has a good storyline. I am rushing over those points because I really want to confront this games biggest issue and that is the severe motion sickness people suffer from it (myself included). News flash people! If you have ever seen the Sandra Bullock film Gravity you will know that space can be a deeply nauseating place and this game copies that film with a jaw-dropping level of realism. You can’t say it’s the games fault for being nauseating when it is the realism of the game that makes it nauseating! Sure, they might have been able to tone it down a bit, but it wouldn’t have been such a great game if they did.

I went through just about every emotion under the sun playing this game. I felt nauseated, excited, amazed and even a little sad when you discover the fate of the rest of the crew. But through this roller coaster ride of emotions, I also found that I had a deep respect for the real astronauts onboard the ISS. Each day the slightest of things could cause the most severe of problems and if it should ever go wrong as it did in this game, things could be very bad for them indeed. ADR1FT is a stunningly beautiful game that feels scarily realistic, but that realism is also the reason you will need a stomach of pure steel to play it. If you are lucky enough to have that then you need to download this ASAP.
