Description: Thanks to everyone who has downloaded and experienced Air Raid Over Britain during our early preview builds. This project has been an exploratory discovery as to what does and doesn’t work in a purely hands-off VR experiences. With this latest release we have completely revamped and updated the Air Raid Over Britain experience. Based on community feedback and in-person demos, we’ve completely overhauled the core functionality of Air Raid Over Britain. It now includes more interaction and gameplay mechanics as well as a completely new “look-at” mechanic. You’ll find additional layers of knowledge and gameplay throughout Air Raid Over Britain shedding better light on the history of “The Blitz” (1940-1941) and other various aspects of WWII.
Review: I have to say, I normally like these WW2 simulations as they really put you in the shoes of the terror and horror people felt at the time. But make no mistake, ‘Air Raid Over Britain’ is a steaming dog pile. In short, a few planes will fly over your head…and it’s over. OK, so there are some educational points to read before that happens, but no storyline, no scene-setting, just a flyover, an air raid siren and that’s it. Thank god this is free because if I had to pay for this someone would have had to have died!
