Review: I’m sure that on paper ‘Alpha Command’ might have sounded like a great idea for a game. After all, it is the Atari classic Missile Command, only played in VR with some updated effects. Sadly what you end up getting is a small amount of nostalgia wrapped around a terrible game with worse graphics than its 8-bit counterpart. OK, so that is being a little harsh, the graphics are indeed low-poly, but when it comes to gameplay it is just the same 2D game, only played in a 3D environments! It’s almost to the point that it was pointless updated it as the “3D” environment you play the game in isn’t worth writing home about. I won’t be recommending this game, especially for the current £7.19 price tag, but if you REALLY love your retro gaming and see this in a bundle with other cheap games, maybe give this a look.
