Review: I feel that I should explain that ‘Archangel: Hellfire – Enlist FREE’ is a free demo of the full-game ‘Archangel: Hellfire’ which does cost £15.49 and for that price, it will unlock all the maps and robots. With the free demo you get a couple of maps and a couple of robots, but you do get a good gist of the gameplay which is nice. So now that you understand that I will review this free version only.
As for the multiplayer in this game it is pretty much dead, so unless you can get some friends to download it as well there isn’t any point playing it. So you are left with the single-player mode which while looking amazing is still an on-rails shooter. You don’t quite get the freedom that you might expect. Yes, it is awsome moving about in the mechs but the gameplay is just too shallow and it doesn’t look like it gets much better in the full version. While this is free it does mean you will soon get bored of it, but is it worth a download? Absolutely, just enjoy what is there, delete it and never look back.
