Description: Blending stunning visuals and turn-based action, Augmented Empire brings a cyberpunk tale of disparity and hope to VR. From the armchair of your secluded hideout, control a team of six misfits in a world rendered as ‘augmented reality.’

In 2058, the city of New Savannah is divided into three tiers via the Citizen Grade System. While the citizens deemed of high societal value live in luxury at the summit, outliers and criminals languish in squalor at the island’s depths.

Review: What I love most about Augmented Empire is not the gorgeous graphics or the great voice work or even the intriguing storyline and interesting characters. Sure, all those things are great but what I love most is the sheer scale of it. This is not your usual VR wham bam thank you ma’am short experience, this is a full turn based RPG that will last several hours from your first playthrough! And there is always so much to see and read within each scene.

Sure I could nitpick about it not needing to be a VR game and some of the levels tilting too far forwards, but it really would be nothing but nitpicking. This is a game that has had a lot of thought put into it. Nothing feels empty, nothing feels rushed and more importantly nothing feels or looks cheap. If you love your RPG’s you will find this deeply immersive, I really couldn’t recommend it enough.
