Description: In the app Bard VR, Bard Peripheral Vascular invites you to step into their virtual operating room and get acquainted with their new product, Lutonix DCB. Lutonix DCB is a drug-coated balloon catheter that delivers paclitaxel, an anti-proliferative drug, into the arterial wall in a single, short inflation. It has undergone successful clinical trials and is currently on the market and used to prevent arterial restenosis.

Review: Bard VR is a medical app that takes you on a journey into a virtual Operation Room compleat with a patient on the bed waiting to be examined. You get to walk around the operation room or go inside the patient by shrinking down to a microscopic level and entering them via the blood stream.

While not much of a game or a simulation, it is still a real showcase of how virtual reality might one day help out in the operating room. It’s not going to make anyone a Jr Doctor, but it might lead to one of two people becoming more interested in medical practices done with VR headsets.
