Description: Manipulate vectors with your hands, explore vector addition and cross product. See and feel a double integral of a sinusoidal graph in 3D, a mobius strip and it’s normal, and spherical coordinates! Create your own parametrized function and vector field!

Review: Calcflow is a mathematical modelling app and data analysis visualiser. Here is a small list of just some of the basic functions you can do with it: Longitude & Latitude Mapping, Mobius Strip Data Analysis, Vector Field Visualization, Double Integral Math, Vector Addition & Cross Production, Parametrized, Tetrahedron Boundary Analisis, Stokes’ Theorem and Surface Integral. And that is just the main functions it tells you to do with it, what else you analyse or do with this app is up to you and it can help visualise some pretty complex maths and data.

I’m not going to try and pretend that I know what to do with this app or what it can do with your data, but what I do know is it is yet another way VR can become useful in the workplace. Using the touch controllers makes everything easy, but maybe a data window/note system that you could see in VR would help with the inputting of the data which is sometimes quite complex.

Calcflow is a good way to see data from an angle that you might not have thought of before. While the non-intuitive GUI will leave you a little confused at first, I soon got the hang of it. For those into data analysis and stats, this is a fantastic way to view them. If this is the future of data analysis, it looks like a good future indeed.
