Description: Codename: Phantom lets you go undercover and step into the shoes of an elite agent. In this tactical puzzle-shooter game you are armed with only two pistols and state of the art brain implant. Dispatching enemies with headshots, environment kills and conserving bullets is key in achieving a high-score.

Review: The fact is ‘Codename: Phantom’ is little more than a static positional wave shooter of the likes we have all seen a hundred times before. But it does at least try to be original and throws the odd puzzle into the mix and the odd bit of scenery to hide behind. You can get the best score you can by working out which way to kill the enemies, but I feel most people won’t bother with this.

It does look good I suppose and the controls feel nice and responsive, but the gameplay is so old and tested meaning you will soon get bored of it. For £3.99 this game is well worth a look even if you already have far too many shooters in your Steam library. Sure, its nothing original, but it’s polished and feels great to play.
