A reclusive man with a mysterious past is dead, and it’s up to you to crack the case. Investigate the crime scene, uncover secret documents and piece together the puzzle to name his killer. But keep your wits about you: nothing is as it seems and you are not alone. Bullard took his secrets to the grave. Somebody wants them to stay there.

Review: Ever wanted to solve a murder? Well, Dead Secret gives you the opportunity to do just that in a point-and-click horror style. Played in a 1960s, first-person style you enter the crime scene and end up looking into a mirror. This is a good little trick that lures your brain into believing you are that character you are playing. From then on it is all about finding clues, finding objects that lead to more clues and getting more and more background story on the suspects you have in mind.

The graphics look great, the sound and voice acting is pretty good and the gameplay is nothing too tricky throughout the game. The only thing that might look bad is the gameplay hours. Done in a little over 6 hrs you could easily find yourself playing it once and never again. What you don’t know is that there are multiple endings, but only one in which you survive. This gives it great replay value which can easily keep you amused for days and weeks. This is not just a simple point-and-click adventure, there are times when you will have to run, times when you will have to hide and other times you will have to grin and bare the horror.

Horror games in VR are always the most immersive because it puts you into the story and you always feel as if it is your own life on the line which makes it even scarier. Dead Secret does just that with the help of a few very scary moments. While not the longest horror adventure you will ever play there is more than enough to keep most Jessica Fletcher fans happy.
