Review: When my mum used to tell me “looks aren’t everything” its obvious to me now that she had been playing Dinosaur Island. From the start of the game, it all looks pretty good from the great animation of the dinosaurs themselves to the scenery of the levels, it has a certain polished look to it. Sadly that is where the “good” things about this game end and it turns into a rather basic on-rails shooter. From the giant, oversized character to the shooting mechanics that requires you to shoot an exact spot on the dinosaurs and ONLY when it allows you to, not a moment before and nowhere but that small circular location. Sadly these faults are silly things that make the game feel mediocre to play, but it could have easily been a great game with the right control method. Even with those faults I still feel it has the right price and is still worth a download. Just don’t expect anything more than a dino shooter like those you have seen a hundred times before.
