Description: Developed by id Software, the studio that pioneered the first-person shooter genre and modern VR, DOOM® VFR brings the fast-paced, brutal gameplay fans of the series love to virtual reality. Immerse yourself in the UAC facility on Mars and the depths of Hell, as your skills are put to the test through intense combat and challenging puzzle-solving. Play as a cybernetic survivor who is activated by the UAC to fight the demon invasion, maintain order, and prevent catastrophic failure at the Mars facility. Lay waste to an army of demonic foes as you explore and interact with the outlandish world of DOOM from an entirely new perspective.

Review: First-person shooters are something VR does best, but when it comes to the calibre of Doom can VR really add to its already impressive gameplay? It has to be said that it does and far more than you would have thought possible. With both teleportation and smooth forward movement, there is a playstyle to suit most people here and doom has never felt more complete, more immersive than it is in DOOM VFR (PSVR). While the lack of online multiplayer will put a lot of people off it really is worth it for the single-player along. It might cost £19.99, but I for one think it is worth every penny. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it is pretty freaking amazing.
