Drop Dead (Gear VR)
Intro: Defeat Monday’s hungry hordes and use cunning to defuse his Zombombs! Combat the undead with a futuristic arsenal of kick-ass weapons! Master the charge pistol, fusion cannon and sticky grenades as you muscle your way through more new missions. Slay your way to Monday’s lair for an epic last stand… but stay frosty Cipher – the Doc’s got a trick or two up his sleeve.
Verdict: Having played Drop Dead on the Oculus Rift I was apprehensive about playing it on the Gear VR. Sure, it now has its own motion controller of sorts, but I still thought it wasn;t going to measure up. To my surprise, it was better than I thought, in fact, dare I say…it was better than I thought possible on the Gear VR! With some very fast paced action scenes and pretty good graphics (done in a cartoon style), it looks pretty much like the Rift version only running on low.
Sure, you could moan about not being able to explore around the levels, but even with the linear gameplay it still feels pretty good to play and at times very exciting. No, it’s not flawless, but when it comes to Gear VR games, it’s right up there with the best of them. In fact, if you own a Gear VR, you need to own this as well! If you like your zombie shooters that is.
