Earth Shape (Google Daydream)
Intro: Sow the stars! EarthShape is a point-and-bounce VR game of universal puzzle gardening. Using the latest technology, bounce your way around obstacles or manoeuvre for extra points, all to grow the brightest flowers for better worlds. Dig into the game’s 25 levels of campaign challenges or bounce around in free play mode to hone your green thumb. Discover millions of gene combinations (with more to come) and shape strange new worlds, your way.
Verdict: EarthShape is just one of those games that will divide peoples opinion straight down the middle. Some people will love this game for its fun characters, great animations and simple gameplay. But others will only focus on the main gameplay which is…to say the least…basic. In fact, I think I can remember playing something very similar on an 8-bit console! But yet it does divide even me because I am one of those people who kind of love this game for its total package and to be fair it looks a lot better than many other Daydream games. But graphics are not everything which starts to pull me away from this game once I start thinking about the gameplay. Sadly I don’t know which way I feel about this game which makes it hard for me to suggest giving it a download. So while I do suggest you give it a try, do be ready to hit that “refund” button if you don’t like it. Truly an odd game indeed.
