Review: Have you ever wanted to go back to medieval times and help defend a castle from orcs and dragons? Then you are in luck as Elven Assassin enables you to do just that. You get two options with this game Single-player and multiplayer. Sticking to single-player for now, your job is to single-handedly defend the village from wave after wave of enemies. It’s the usual story here, some are slow, some quick and some fire back at you. You have to shoot dodge and teleport to different shooting stations to get them.

To be honest the great looking scenery really adds a layer of difficulty to this game. Sometimes you have to teleport quite a few times as enemies really do come from everywhere and take random paths to the single point of entry to the village which I thought was a nice touch. I do have to say that I found the learning curve a little steep as I only managed to survive a few waves in my first few goes. But then again I could put that down to poor shooting skills. Then you have the multiplayer game which is much the same, but you can ask friends to help out with the fight which while often laggy makes the game a lot more fun.

Graphically Elven Assassin looks fine and even sounds pretty good. I also can’t pick holes in the game physics as the arrows are annoyingly accurate in both flight path and distance arch. But sadly this game is as deep as a teacup saucer. There just isn’t enough for it to justify its price. This is not me slagging down the game because it is good, but there isn’t enough of it in both single-player and multiplayer options. But if you have ever wanted to be a castle archer, download this…just wait for a really good sale.
