Enigma Sphere will provide a full and fun VR gaming experience for players of all kinds.
Review: The time is the near future. Mysterious android life forms have installed world-annihilating superweapons in inland South America. This is where our story begins. The mission you have been presented with involves commanding the androids that allied hackers have been able to control in order to sabotage the weapons from inside and prevent the activation of the world-annihilating superweapons. Time is limited, and the mysteries of the labyrinth must be solved. The success of the mission lies in the hands of the Superagents. Or to put things a little easier, smash orbs with a hammer and touch the sun-like orb at the end once all the other orbs have been dealt with. That might sound like a simple explanation of the game, but that really is pretty much all you will be doing!
Using the Oculus Touch controllers you grab the hammer and teleport around the room with the classic point and release method. Then all you have to do is find a hammer and do what needs to be done. While most the levels require little more than a good throwing arm some will require timing, skill and even your own ability to lean out over huge drops just to get your target.
Verdict: Enigma Sphere is a firework of a game that has a two-mile fuse. It takes ages to get going, then once it does get going it is already game over. What I am saying it sadly most the levels are just too easy and even when they do start to get difficult and more interesting the game is over! But when this game gets going it is pretty good indeed and a real challenge. But like I said it does take a while to get going. Then there is the repetitive rooms to deal with, each one looking very much like the last. So did I enjoy it? Well…yes! But only because I stuck with it through those early boring challenges and got to the more interesting ones. Not worth the current asking price, but grab it in a half price sale and you will feel you get your money’s worth.
