Description: FARHOME is an adventure-type science fiction game for virtual reality devices with a focus on the cooperative walkthrough and on the use of the characters’ special abilities. You are in for a perilous journey to the Wasp-21 Ariadne system to explore its planets and to find out what the ancient civilization’s vestiges conceal.

In the early 24th century, people from the emaciated Earth are looking for a new world to live in. The players will become members of an elite special-purpose squad accompanying a large space mission. The goal of the expedition is to deploy the base, to get the extraction of the most precious cyrium up and running, and also to get ready for launching the Portal that will allow the Earthians to relocate to a new place of residence. But the new world holds its own threats and challenges.

Review: Mostly FARHOME is a great-looking shooter with loads of different things to kill along the way. From bugs and spiders to a few other…bigger things, this game keeps things tense from start to finish. Graphically the game is great and I can’t take that away from it, but it is the gameplay that does let it down a bit. The game is often just too hard and throws you into the deep end and hopes you swim. For instance, I was on level 2 before I had worked out how to change weapons! Also, the lack of content does make the high £23.79 asking price seems just too much, especially given that the multiplayer modes are all but dead. But grab this for half its current price and you should be very happy with your purchase.
