Review: Let’s start this review of ‘Green Hell VR’ with the questions everyone will be wanting answered. The first main one is how much better does it look than the Oculus Quest version? The answer is not much at all, but having said that it could be seen as a testament to the developer’s efforts on the Oculus Quest rather than their laziness with a PCVR port. Sure, there are some mild differences, but really nothing to talk about. I also noticed some improvements with interactivity, making it feel more polished than when I first played it on the quest. Overall it feels like a bigger, grander adventure and while it doesn’t looks significantly better it is still better in most respects.

This is a game you need to commit time to and really immerse yourself in, those looking for a quicker, more action-based game should look elsewhere. Yes, it has a few bugs and other issues, but it still gets a Gold from me and it is probably one of the best VR survival games out there. No, it is not perfect and the gameplay loop can get monotonous rather quickly, but this is not a game for those looking for fast-paced action, it is game for those looking for a long-play survival game.
