HTC Vive Pro (2018)

Presentation: The main box of the headset only version of this really isn’t much to talk about. It is nicely presented and comes well protected. But the full HTC Vive Pro Full Kit is something very special. Once you are into the main box there are 5 numbered interior boxes of which you can unbox in order to get yourself set up faster. While I wasn’t impressed with how flimsy the internal boxes were everything was protected and nicely packaged.

HTC Vive Pro (2018)

Review: While there are obviously a few improvements over the original HTC Vive there simply isn’t enough to justify the extra price tag. In fact, there aren’t enough improvements to justify calling it an upgrade! That doesn’t mean this isn’t one amazing headset, because it is. But it’s not significantly different from the HTC Vive which is now half the price of the Pro version! You will have a lot of fun with this headset that is for sure, but if you already have an HTC vive normal, or an Oculus Rift, I wouldn’t bother upgrading to this one.
