Hunters Gate (Google Daydream)
Intro: The classic shooter has been reinvented for a completely new arcade Daydream View VR experience! Blast your way through the town of Hunters Gate as either Forge (a lucky gunslinger) or Payne (a revenge driven mage) as you defend it from demon invasion – then take the fight to the demons by invading their home world!
Verdict: Hunters Gate is very much like Diablo or World of Warcraft in style and sticks to that 3rd person view to great effect as the deep 3D environment in VR looks simply amazing and as each part of the playing world comes into play they raise and fall and it looks incredible. From the hundreds of enemy types to the variety of weapons, potions and scenery items if there is one thing you can’t fault this game on its the art and character animation.
But it’s not perfect and there will be times when the camera will be your worse enemy and even times when the scenery will trap you in a glitch. But apart from those small issues there really isn’t a whole lot to moan about and without a doubt its the best action/adventure game on the Daydream platform so far. And just to top off all the great things about this game it comes at a fantastic price. It’s well worth the money and once you start to get into it you will discover why. Sure, it doesn’t last more than a few hours, but its a great few hours, but I would be willing to even pay more for this game if indeed there was more.
