Description: In Your Face TD is a Tower Defense, which utilises room-scale VR to give a new dimension to a classic genre. You find yourself on a lonely space station, with only the mining drones to keep you company. Luckily the drones are hard workers, and they will gather resources so you can build defences against invading creatures from another dimension. These creatures are vicious, but they aren’t the brightest. They have one goal in mind, and that is destroying your base. Smart as you are, you build a maze and lure the stupid creatures around and through your defences before they can reach the base. Knowing that space stations are regularly attacked by waves of evil, you’ve also brought your laser guns, bombs and even sawblade frisbees.
Review: In Your Face TD isn’t a bad Tower Defence game at all. While it is as basic as they come (even lacking a tutorial) once you do work out how to play it you will start to get into it. Sure, I probably wouldn’t have paid real money for it, but given that it is free I can’t help but enjoy it. As per usual it doesn’t have the most content of any game, but then again I bring your attention back to that “free” price tag. And it is a good job it’s free because even the smallest of fees would have been off-putting. It’s worth a look I suppose, but don’t expect much more than some fun gameplay for a short while.
