Description: You’ve spent years working your behind off as part of the Doomsday Force, the secret military elite squad that got stuck dealing with every apocalyptic threat. Yeah, it was a thankless job, but you don’t care. You’ve finally retired to your own private tropical island. Population One. Just you and the rum. Life couldn’t be more perfect…

Unfortunately, no matter how far you try and distance yourself from disaster, it always seems to find you. When a ship sinks offshore, you discover that not only has a predatory insect race from a parallel dimension invaded your island paradise but that the entire earth is under threat. Only you have the skills needed to make these critters bug off. It’s swattin’ time…

Review: ‘Insect Revolution VR’ is a classic style bug shooter. You will be fighting off wave after wave of enemies all intent on turning you into their food. While the game is pretty basic in most areas it is clear than the developer has put in some effort as the gameplay is quite good. I also liked the variety of environments you get to battle in as it really mixes things up a bit and there is even a giant bug boss fight. I’m not quite sure you get your full £3.99’s worth here, but even for half that you should be left feeling happy with your purchase. Sure, it’s just another wave shooter, but it keeps things fun and that is all you can ask from a bedroom developer.
