Description: This basic-level course is designed to enhance laboratory scientists’ ability to identify how personal protective equipment (PPE) can help reduce the risk of exposure to hazardous materials, prevent transmission of infectious agents, and demonstrate how to don and doff PPE in the correct order to minimize contamination and potential exposures. This course empowers learners to apply knowledge and practice selecting the appropriate PPE and properly donning and doffing it in a virtual museum. It concludes with a final exam in a virtual laboratory.

Review: Much like ‘LabTrainingVR: Biosafety Cabinet Edition‘ before it, this is once again a training program for the CDC (The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) about how to put on safety equipment. While it is not something the average Joe is going to enjoy some of us will at the very least find it interesting and it is free anyway. I never thought I would have to wear a mask just to goto the supermarket, so learning this and finding it useful isn’t a stretch of the imagination.
