Description: Mage Guard is one of the world’s first truly gesture-based spell casting games for VR. Take on the role of a Guild Mage, tasked with guarding the Guild’s most powerful relic, “The Grimoire”. Magic, based on symbols, is a powerful force in the world and tightly controlled. All mages must join the Guild for their own safety and the safety of the populace.

Review: Mage Guard: The Last Grimoire is a wave-based magic shooting game in which you need to dispatch a variety of enemies. It does have to be said that the game is beautiful and feels perfect for the magic and mages setting. But it is the repetitive gameplay that really lets this game down, it is just little more than a wave shooter, but with some magic thrown in to make it more interesting. I certainly wouldn’t pay £14.99 for this game, but if it was in a sale for a fraction of that price I might be willing to get it. But not at full-price, nowhere near it.
