Max VR (Oculus Rift)
Intro: MAX is an immersive VR retro futuristic game inspired on early 80’s gameplay, visual and music styles. Using voxel art and synthwave music make your way through the waves of enemies. Welcome to the new Retrowave era!
Verdict: Max VR is a shooter that takes you back to the 80s and throws all that time era had at you. With 80’s style visuals, 80’s style arcade characters and even 80’s style music and sound effects! As long as you don’t expect anything other than a little bit of retro fun you will be fine. Sadly the games price is far too high for my liking. For £8 there just isn’t enough content to make it a worthwhile purchase and add to that the game is a little buggy. Yes, I did enjoy playing it for a while (when it was working) but it got repetitive quickly and without any multiplayer options I would guess most people won’t be playing this for more than an hour or two. Like I said, it is fun so do keep an eye out for it in a sale as grabbing this for a few quid is highly suggested.
