Description: Harrowing encounters, tactical gameplay, fantastic miniatures, and dark, forbidding dungeons. Every time you play, it’s a different experience generated and managed by a digital game master. You never know which monsters, potions, spells, and equipment you will encounter along the way, and it’s up to you to make the most of it. Sometimes, you’ll charge into battle, wielding powerful weapons and armour, while other times you’ll execute a carefully planned sequence of spells to annihilate your foes. The object of the game is always the same: Reach the bottom level of the dungeon, retrieve the Lyre of Electra, and return to the surface. One of the charms of Minotaur’s Maze is the surprising variety of situations you’ll find yourself in. No two games are ever the same.

Review: While it is refreshing to see ‘Minotaur’s Maze bring something new to the world of VR games, I just feel it isn’t quite right. I do enjoy the isometric view and graphically it isn’t bad at all. But it is the gameplay that kind of lets this game down. There are bugs that see you spawn into the darndest of places and some of the options in-game just seem to get in the way and not work. These little niggles leave you feeling the game is unfinished and given the last time this was updated you can pretty much say it is has been abandoned. OK, so its not worth the £6.99 asking price, but I would pay a few quid for this and still be relatively happy. Sometimes it’s nice to play something different and this game offers just that.
