MLB Home Run Derby VR (Google Daydream)
Intro: Step up to the plate in Marlins Park, home of the 2017 All-Star Game. Take some swings at Wrigley Field, or take on the Green Monster at Fenway Park! 8 of the world’s greatest ballparks are the backdrop for the ultimate slugfest.
Verdict: For someone who is a fan of MLB (Major League Baseball), I’m sure Home Run Derby VR has more than enough content to keep a hardcore baseball fan happy. I will even go so far as to say that this game has everything it needs to be a great baseball game. Sadly what it is missing is the proper control system and indeed controller. If this was a fully tracked motion controller it would have been an awesome game and one I could have easily been immersed in, but with the limitations of the Daydream controller itself, it just felt a little fake and boring. But like I said, the game itself is OK, just not the method they used to swing the bat, I would have prefered a trimmed button click to the fake swinging from the hip that the Daydream controller limits me to.
