Description: Welcome to Mount Wingsuit, where the thrill of hurtling down a mountainside in immersive VR with fast-paced arcade-style gameplay will keep you in the zone for hours at a time. Hone your skills to perfect one of the 40 line challenges, try your hand at a slalom course or an over / under challenge, unleash Survival Mode where only the most skilled and persistent makes it down alive, or simply go cruising for one of the many secrets scattered across the map – the choice is yours!

You have eight wingsuits at your disposal, using an advanced aerodynamic model to give each suit its unique look and feel, and twenty drop points to unlock and explore. With 320 objectives spread across 650 square kilometres of mountains loosely based on the Rockies, all in an open world packed with unique features, this game leaves you with miles to go.

Review: Mount Wingsuit is pretty much what you might expect. It’s a wingsuit simulator game. Of course, there is a lot more to this game than simply jumping off a tall tower with your mum’s bedsheet strapped to your back. There are missions, objectives and even some extreme challenges to complete. Played in quite a vast open-world you get to soar through the skies looking over the beautiful scenery (not that you will have time to look at any of it).

While the controls are a little over-complicated after just a few goes I found myself getting into it, starting to push the goal of what I could achieve even more. Not that I unlocked all of them, but the different wingsuits I did unlock really did feel very different from each other. Some were fast, some had better control. Talking of control, that is what you need with this game, this is not a gung-ho game, you need to be smooth with the control. Small movements can lead to big changes in just a matter of seconds.

The biggest problem most people might have with this game is VR sickness. Oculus rates this game as “Intense” and at the start that is indeed a true statement. But once you get better control of the wingsuit and make slower, smoother turns you will notice that it really isn’t that bad at all. It’s a fun game that might be difficult to get into, but once you get the hang of things you will be jumping off towers all over the place. It looks good and feels amazing in VR (once you get the hang of it) and has more than enough to keep you coming back for more. But price is an issue and I will suggest grabbing this in a sale rather than paying full price.
