Description: “Otawamure” is a Japanese word meaning “to play around, to fool around or toy with”. This VR experience provides a virtual space where you can feel “otawamure” yourself while playing with tender objects. The space has three activities inside. In one of them, you’ll find yourself carefully cutting eggs using a string, trying to slice them just right. Another will give you a hand fan to blow a set of quirky objects away. And in the last one jiggly, bouncy puddings will drop from the sky for you to catch. None of these experiences has a specific goal or objective, but we hope they can help you experience “otawamure”.

Review: Just when I thought i had seen every weird kind of app I would ever see in VR, along comes Otawamure to prove me wrong. This is a series of interactive objects, often quite weird ones. There is a giant, bendy ice-cream, a pair of lips, bubbles, plates of some sort of food, heck I am not even sure what half of the things are! It’s weirdly relaxing for a little while I suppose, but it soon gets very boring. The £5.79 price tag is the final nail in this games coffin as it really isn’t worth even half that much, but maybe I am missing the point to this app if I am do let me know in the comments below.
