Description: “Paradise Checkers” is a board game put in VR environment. The game consists of two difficulty levels – “min” to beginners and “max” for more advanced players. You can also choose the colour of your pawns as black or white. Your pawns are at the bottom of the board. In your turns, you move one of your pawns diagonally to one of the nearest squares. You can destroy the enemy’s pawn by jumping diagonally over it. Note: If you can destroy the enemy’s pawn you MUST do it. That’s the rule. If any of your pawns reach the opposite end of the board it changes itself into queen pawn. From now on it can move diagonally by any number of squares and also destroy the enemy’s pawn that way. You win a game when there are no other figures except yours.
Review: Paradise Checkers VR is a traditional game of Checkers (Draughts) played in VR. It is very nauseating due to the menu movements and it looks like utter crap. Even for the price of £0.48 (which is the sale price) I just can’t recommend this to anyone, unless you like supporting a new developer. I’m all for supporting indie games and apps, but this need a LOT more work before I could even consider recommending it for a free download, let alone a paid one. Sorry to be harsh on this, but having seen so much better from other indie developers you do have a quality bar set, even if it is a low one.
