Review: Let’s get the obvious fact out of the way first. Yes, POPULATION: ONE is basically a rip-off VR version of Fortnite. But lets us start with the good news. Yes, this is probably the best FPS shooter for our VR headsets with a large community of players, but sadly no single-player modes. This is a game that you will have almost endless fun playing and dare I say it looks pretty great as well. The gameplay mechanics are solid and the amount of unlockables is vast and keeps growing. But the price tag is still too high if you ask me given that you will have to pay additional fees to unlock the best costumes and things. Sure, you can grind hard for them, but that will take far too long for most people. I just wish there was a timed demo or something for us to try before we buy as I just know a lot of us will not get on with it, or at least would like to get used to the game first.
