Review: If you have ever played games like F-Zero or Wipeout on the Playstation you are going to feel instantly at home here. It will all feel very much the same sort of style and feel of those older games and nothing will be new or exciting. That is until you start a race. Those space racer games I mentioned are fast-moving, adrenaline flowing games that gets the heart racing and the mind working overtime trying to drive at ridiculous speeds while avoiding other racers. Now imagine being sat in the driver’s seat and you are still nowhere near the rush that this game will give you.
While the speeds this game moves at look ridiculous, you strangely always feel in control. The new cell-shaded look for the Oculus Quest makes it look even better than the original, although maybe not as fast. You soon learn the tracks and learn where the other racers are going to go. Throw the multiplayer game on top of all this and you have a game that feels very polished indeed. Maybe a few more tracks and ships would have improved it, but those sorts of things can always be added later on with an Add-on.
